PBM Policy Spotlight
Within the pharmacy landscape, there is more attention than ever on Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) transparency. Federal initiatives include the ongoing FTC investigation of PBMs and implementation of the Inflation Reduction Act and American Rescue Plan Act. Additionally, numerous States are targeting PBMs for legislative reforms. A recent class-action lawsuit by an employee alleges that their employer mismanaged their employee drug benefit program.
